1. Help for the Horses
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful sponsors,
contributors and supporters. We have worked extremely hard to solicit public
support as well as to write many, many grant applications this year. Our hard
work is indeed paying off! Thanks goes out to Nancy Johns, Grider Farms,
Petfinder.com
Foundation, UAN Lifeline Grants, Ralph & Virginia Mullin Foundation, ASPCA,
K.E.E.P., Arabian Horse Foundation, Blue Horse Charities of America,
Thoroughbred Charities of America and many more. While this is an ongoing
endeavor,we could not have done it without each of you and your support is
greatly needed and appreciated.

2. No Cost Ways To Contribute
In this economy everyone is having to make adjustments and be a bit more
conservative with their spending. We here at MVR have felt the crunch and have
responded by coming up with ways people can help with little effort and even
smaller spending.

3. Adoption Application Revised
Our board of directors has voted unanimously to revise and improve our adoption process. Each potential adopter will now fill out an adoption application, which is separate from the adoption contract. Over the years we have learned and with our growth have made these changes to better protect our organization, our horses and the people who love them. While revisions to the Adoption Contract are still being applied, you can view the new Adoption Application at the link below.

4. Don't Breed...Adopt Your Steed!
Last but certainly not least, we have some GREAT horses available for
adoption. All adoption fees are $200 for un-broke horses and $400 for horses who
are trained to ride or drive.
*Mosely- 20+ year old Standardbred Gelding who is a great beginner and lead line
lesson horse. Mo is smart, friendly, and patient. Mo still has plenty of steam
left and likes to offer a challenge!
*Penelope- is a 2 year old chestnut Thoroughbred filly who is now 15.2 hands.
She has just started her lunge training and is well suited to be a hunter,
jumper, or event prospect.
*Jamboree- is a 3-4 year old Morab filly who is 14.3 hands and chestnut in
color. Don't let her size fool you, she is all heart! She is currently ground
driving as we feel she will be very suitable as a road or cart horse with her
lofty and animated action.
*Scarecrow- is a 7 year old Thoroughbred gelding who is 16.2 hands and bay in
color. Scarecrow is a great guy and is very easy going. He works well on the
flat and trails are no problem!
In order to be able to serve horses truly in need, we need to make room at our
farm by placing the horses who are fully rehabilitated. MVR is a no-kill rescue,
but we can only house up to 12 horses at any given time. Please take a look at
the deserving horses we have available and give a rescue horse a chance today.
