.Milk Re-placer (we recommend Buckeye's Mares Milk Plus, Foal-lac, Mares Match, or Uni-milk) find one readily available in your area (Plan to spend $150-300 month per foal until 3-4 months of age)

.Yogurt- plain/vanilla 1 tablespoon per gallon of milk re-placer (generic fine) when foals have digestive upsets

.Pro Bios- give to foals to prevent scours

.Foal Pellets (creep feed) (recommend some type of milk pellets until weaning then move to foal pellets. example Buckeyes Foal Pellets but not absolutely necessary, see # 9)

.Excellent Quality grass or alfalfa mix hay

.Shallow bucket for milk replacer if hand feeding, which I highly recommend until your foal is at least 2 months of age. Then a cooler with lid removed- We recommend this to mix and feed milk re-placer in. Keeps it cold and you can make larger quantity-we placed milk jugs with ice in them- if kept cold must change every 12 hours

.Halter/lead rope- (you will need to halter train your foal, but never leave a halter or lead rope on him when un-attended)

.Water bucket- need water 24/7

9. Omelene 300 for weaning. Or a good 16% foal creep. Foals can be fed this in small amounts at a couple weeks of age. Gradually increase grain/ decrease milk replacer until weaned completely onto grain. Milk pellets are not needed if your foal is eating already grain. Make sure foal is drinking plenty of free choice water and eating hay before this step!

.Vaccinations-please see schedule under links (contact vet for vaccinations needed in your area)

.Pepto Bismol (generic fine), Activated Charcoal (available from vet/hospital pharmacy),  Bag Balm or ointment to keep bums from getting raw if your foal gets scours

.Warm dry place to keep foal (barn/garage/etc)

.Straw- keeps foals warmer then shavings/saw dust, but should shavings be used, put straw or hay over them to keep the foal from breathing/ingesting them when laying down.

.Poop scoop

.Feed buckets (for pellets, grain etc)

.Hay feeder (something to keep hay off the ground)

.Zantac to prevent ulcers (generic brand fine)

.Contact a vet let them know you are planning to adopt a nurse mare foal orphaned foal and make sure he is avail/comfortable in helping you if needed

.Large syringes for medications/milk feeding if needed

.Grooming supplies (brushes hoof pick etc)

.Foal Blanket

.Farrier- you won't need one for the first few months, but it is good to research farriers in your area

.Mineral Block- as with all horses this should be available at all times Now these are the items that we found useful with our foals. Not everyone will agree or find all items useful so please feel free to pick and choose :-) Good Luck!
